Freeman A. Crowder 70, 502 W. Harrison, Veedersburg, died at 5 a.m. Sunday Dec 25 at Lakeview Medical Center, Danville, Ill. Born Nov 7, 1913 in Cates, he was the son of Elmer & Artie Wallace Crowder. iI 1942 he married Evelyn Phipps who died Jan 2, 1980. He was a retired Public Service of Indiana employee. Survivors include two stepsons, Vernie Harvey of Fla; a brother, Harold Crowder of Kokomo; two sisters, Irene Masey of Kingman and Mildred Lyons of Lafayette; 10 step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

Freeman A. Crowder, 70, 502 West Harrison, Veedersburg, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, December 25, at Lakeview Medical Center in Danville, Illinois.
  Born November 7, 1913 in Cates, he was the son of Elmer and Artie Wallace Crowder. In 1942 he married Evelyn Phipps, who died January 2, 1980. He was a retired Public Service Indiana employee.
  Survivors include two stepsons, Vernie Harvey of Alamo and Kenneth Harvey of Florida; a brother, Harold Crowder of Kokomo; two sisters, Irene Massey of Kingman and Mildred Lyons of Lafayette; ten step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
  Services were conducted Wednesday at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Max Paddock officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery. – thanks to S
